Responsibilities

  • Execute trades for accounts according to the team philosophy; in addition to identifying divergence from target asset allocations and significant cash balance fluctuations. Recommend portfolio adjustments when raising or investing cash.   Monitor and oversee compliance regulations.  Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor portfolio performance; perform attribution analysis. Suggest new and relevant exhibits for use in client presentations as a result of analyses. Create the presentations to communicate our philosophy, process and performance on a quarterly basis.  Assist portfolio managers with reviewing portfolios and markets to discern developing trends. Anticipate the effect on portfolios and alert portfolio managers as necessary. 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the team and their specific needs and serve existing and prospective accounts.  For example:
    • Build relationships with select accounts and consultants to better address their needs and determine additional opportunities.
    • Integrate existing new client acceptance procedures, performance measurement and other related account functions, etc…
  • Work with the portfolio managers and perform portfolio analytics on characteristics, performance and benchmarks.  Perform independent research and develop related analysis with the Portfolio Management.        
Qualifications 
  • 5 – 7 years of  Investment/ Portfolio Associate and/or Sales & Client Support Experience
  • Progress toward CFA and/or MBA desired
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or must be obtained within 120 days of start date
  • Experience with manager presentations, marketing and client review materials
  • Analytical experience in aspects of investment product sales & support
  • Knowledge of analytical tools (i.e., Factset, Frank Russell RPU, Axys, etc.)
  • Experience in client service , portfolio management teams and/or research
  • Team player and relationship builder who is also successful at working independently
  • Self –motivated individual with a positive “can-do” attitude
