Responsibilities
  • Working fairly independently, coordinate with Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Client Services and domestic Trading desk the transitioning and rebalancing of portfolios to reflect PM’s decisions on model portfolios and adherence to client investment guidelines.  Allocate cash flows of accounts and monitor overall cash levels for client portfolios.  Identify and resolve discrepancies, perform account audits and ensure adherence to client specific trading directions.
  • In coordination with domestic Trading desk, provide Portfolio Managers with ongoing information about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volumes and price volatility of securities held in client portfolios.  In conjunction with Product Specialists and Quant Group, develop and implement quantitative tools to analyze risk exposures from changes in portfolio structure.
  • Participate in other projects as requested by Product Specialists and Portfolio Managers.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of equity trading experience with an investment management firm, custodian or investment management consultant
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or business
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or must be obtained within 120 days of start date
  • MBA and/or CFA or progress towards these advanced degrees a plus
  • Commits to satisfying internal and external customers
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
  • Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others
  • Proficient in Linedata LongView or other recognized OMS
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
  • Works cooperatively with others to accomplish objectives 
  • Utilizes independent thought and judgment
